Gulf Environment and Waste FZE aims To Protect Our Planet For The Future Generations !

MARPOL WASTE COLLECTIONThe garbage produced onboard ships needs to be properly disposed of as stated by the MARPOL Annex V. Garbage is one of the several reasons which have been responsible for marine pollution at sea.
OIL SLUDGE, SLOPS, COLLECTION AND TREATMENTOil sludge is a mixture consisting of oil, water and solids. The treatment on oil sludge would recover much oil and water for reuse. Also, it is an ideal solution to for the solid’s disposal. More oil and water recovered, more energy and resource could be saved.
SHIP GENERATED WASTE TREATMENTShip wastes are regulated within the regime of marine pollution and the prevention of ship-source pollution is heavily reliant on the provision of adequate port reception facilities on land. The management of ship wastes must also follow the waste management hierarchy, that is, the priority order that ranks “waste prevention”
WASTEWATER TREATMENTWastewater treatment is a process used to remove contaminants from wastewater or sewage and convert it into an effluent that can be returned to the water cycle. Once returned to the water cycle, the effluent creates an acceptable impact on the environment or is reused for various purposes.
CRUDE OIL WASTE (INDUSTRIAL ACTIVITY)Crude oil waste products include kerosene, gas, and lubricating oils. Crude oil and unrefined petroleum wastes almost always contain enough benzene and related organic compounds to make them a characteristic hazardous waste. They may also contain hazardous concentrations of heavy metals, including arsenic, cadmium, chromium, lead, mercury, and selenium.
METAL SCRAP PROCESSINGMetals are valuable materials that can be recycled again and again without degrading their properties. Scrap metal has value, which motivates people to collect it for sale to recycling operations. The recycling of metals enables to preserve natural resources while requiring less energy to process than the manufacture of new products using virgin raw materials. Recycling emits less carbon dioxide and other harmful gasses.
OILY RAGS COLLECTION AND RECYCLINGRags and absorbents that contain oil or other contaminants need to be disposed of safely. Oily rags should be stored in empty metal containers with water and sealed with a tight metal lid and to prevent oxidation which can lead to combustion.
COOLANT AND MACHINE WASTECoolant contains dissolved metals, chlorinated oils, or biocides, it may be considered hazardous and require special disposal.
HAZARDOUS MATERIALS CHEMICALS AND WASTES TRANSPORTATIONHazardous materials need to be packaged and handled safely during transportation; We aim to provide effective communication to transportation workers and emergency responders of the hazards of the materials being transported and minimizing the consequences of an incident should one occur.
TANK CLEANINGRegular oil tank cleaning and sludge removal are necessary to maximize storage capacity and prevent blockages and accelerated corrosion.
OIL SPILL RESPONSEThe aims of oil spill response are to minimize damage and reduce the time for environmental recovery by: guiding or re-distributing the oil into less sensitive environmental components (e.g. deflecting oil away from mangroves onto a sandy beach).
HAZARDOUS MATERIALS, CHEMICALS AND WASTES TREATMENTThe term “Hazardous Waste” generally refers to solid, liquid, or gaseous waste materials that have been generated as wastes from processes that, if improperly managed, treated, stored, or disposed of, may pose substantial hazards to human health and the environment.
Bunkering and De bunkeringShip bunkering is an important and inevitable offshore marine activity. According to a statistic, the operational expenditure of a ship when it comes to fuel bunkering is somewhere around 50-70% of the total operating expenditure of the ship.
De-bunkering is the removal of fuel from a vessel that was meant to be used for sailing.
